Intake CoordinatorsVolunteer Intake Coordinator for Support Group Screenings Thank you for your interest in serving as an Intake Coordinator for the Alejandre Foundation's non-clinical peer support groups. We are seeking individuals available from Oct 5 - Nov. 10. We plan on having 3 main Intake Coordinators, and 7 others on standby to dispatch calls to as needed.Intake Coordinators will help screen prospective participants for eligibility and appropriateness, connect eligible participants with their assigned group, and follow established procedures when an individual's needs fall outside the scope of the peer support program.Please note: Although applicants must have a mental health background, this is a non-clinical role. Intake Coordinators will not provide psychotherapy, diagnosis, clinical assessment, or ongoing mental health services to participants.Required qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish Must be either: A licensed mental health clinician, or A pre-licensed mental health clinician currently working toward independent licensure. A graduate student in a mental health program (i.e., counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology). Able to conduct structured eligibility screenings while maintaining the distinction between screening for a non-clinical peer support program and providing psychotherapy or clinical assessment. Able follow established procedures for referral or escalation for prospective participants that may need support beyond the scope of a non-clinical peer group. Comfortable asking sensitive screening questions regarding emotional wellbeing, current safety, support needs, and appropriateness for a peer-support environment. Able to follow standardized intake protocols, and follow-through in connecting client with group. Be detail oriented.
