Group Selection

Please rank the top 3 groups you are interested in. Check out their link to learn more about them.

Starts Oct 19: Latinos Together Strong - A weekly support group for adult individuals ages 18-25 years old who have had loved ones deported under this administration’s ICE raids. We recognize the many emotions that these traumatic experience can bring up, from grief and sadness, to anger and hopelessness. This will be a safe space where participants can connect and support one another, where all feelings and experiences are valid, and where we will work towards a place of change-making and hope.

  • Requirement: 18-25 year olds
  • Individuals coming from mixed-status families welcome
  • Group meets WEEKLY at __pm PST
  • Facilitated by Crystal Ortiz

Starts Oct 22: "We Are Still Here" is a 6-week group for anyone whose family has been impacted by deportation or detention. It is a space to grieve, be angry, laugh, and remember together with people who actually understand. Each week holds room for both grief and community, because surviving this doesn't mean giving up on joy and connection.

  • Undocumented Individuals Only
  • Group meets EVERY OTHER WEEK at 5pm PST (1.5 hrs)
  • Facilitated by Dulce Ortega

Starts mid November:

A weekly support group for individuals and family members impacted by deportation and the detention of loved ones. Drawing on Internal Family Systems and Structural Family Therapy, members will build compassion for the parts of them carrying grief, fear, and guilt, strengthen family roles disrupted by separation, and learn practical calming resources — including tapping/bilateral stimulation from EMDR — while finding strength in community with others who understand. This is an educational group. Not psychotherapy.

  • Weekly
  • Facilitated by Cesar Rodriguez

Starts Oct 30: This 6-week non-clinical support group provides a culturally responsive and supportive space for adults impacted by the detention or deportation of a loved one. Participants will build community, explore shared experiences, and learn practical tools for coping, connection, and resilience.

  • Group meets WEEKLY
  • Facilitated by Denise Valdez

Next Steps

Submitting this application does not guarantee placement in a group.

If you appear to meet the initial eligibility criteria, an Intake Coordinator will contact you for a brief phone consultation. The consultation will help us learn more about what you are looking for, answer questions about the program, and determine whether one of our non-clinical peer support groups is an appropriate fit.

Group placement will depend on eligibility, group availability, and fit.

The phone consultation is not psychotherapy or a clinical assessment.
